How can you bring forest into the house? You can open it to the outside, you can hang some pictures of the forest or you can do it symbolically – just like in Polish mode: lina Architects did it with this house. They decided to keep the concrete elements but add forest details and keep the space as open as possible while having very prominent areas. A staircase made of raw concrete leads up the upper floor of the house, and instead of a balustrade there is a bookshelf system to store the owners’ growing book collection. For the most part, the rooms are neutral and essential, with shapes rather than colors, and lots of natural wood. I also like the branch chandelier and the wood decor elements that are reminiscent of the forest structure.
