This house was designed by Belgian architect Dieter Van Everboeck from B5 Architecten. The main feature of the site is the 300 year old beech. Long glass surfaces replace the usual walls to view this tree from almost every room in the house. This is also possible thanks to the L-shaped house structure that surrounds the tree. The large tree provides shade and colors for the interior space. The house is clad in rich wood and its interior is painted in many colors, all reminiscent of the colors of nature.
