An old wooden chalet in the Swiss Alps has been converted into this cool wooden hut – Maison Boisset by Savioz Fabrizzi Architectes. The advantage was taken from the surrounding landscape. The exterior remained untouched, the original parts were only renovated for safety reasons, while the stone foundation supports the wooden structure above. This sturdy exterior contrasts with the modern interior. The amazing thing about the interior is the larch panels with which all rooms are decorated. Huge windows let in lots of light and a simple interior doesn’t distract attention from the panoramic mountain views. It’s a new look for how a simple mountain house should look, modern, minimalist, cozy and inviting.
