Mid Century London Apartment With Creamy Oak Interiors

The owners of this lovely London apartment wanted to see a bright, fun space with a touch of ’70s chic – and they got it! Interior designer Daniel Hopwood designed an elegant interior made of creamy oak that complements the customer’s mid-century furniture collection. Bright splashes of paint only come from the art collection and some cool accessories. Only the library and reading room have anthracite walls and shelves that cover an entire wall, and the lighting has been designed to be moody and subdued. Although the design is mostly from the mid-century, the materials used are modern: Corian, steel and various metals. The space is very stylish and elegant, and the use of colors is moderate but interesting.
