A single-fronted Edwardian house hides a modern extension called The Brick House behind its beautiful facade. The original house was designed by Australian architect CLARE COUSINS for her own family and is located in Prahran, Australia. It has been renovated and expanded with three three-story apartments around the garden to increase privacy. The curved shapes are repeated in interior walls, surfaces, and furniture to incorporate the garden and interior space. All of the modern interior has been designed to maximize storage and functionality for family life. The color scheme is neutral with several dusty color accents. Large wall windows let natural light into the interior from the courtyard.
