Relaxing Beach House Built In Impregnated Pine Wood

This house is another great work by the great Chilean architecture firm dRN Architects (Nicolás del Río and Max Núñez). It is located on Tacna Hill south of Maitencillo, a well-known Chilean beach resort. The house took up 122 square feet near a forest and the Pacific Ocean. As any beach house should be, this is the great place to relax, unwind and socialize with family and friends. It is basically an elevated platform, 3.8 m above the floor, on which the two independent living and bedroom volumes are located, and a third below for the visitors’ bedrooms. These volumes can be freely placed on the platform to leave part of it unoccupied so that indoor spaces can easily contain outdoor areas. The height and plan rotation of the platform provide the best views of the ocean and sunset in summer. The house is made of impregnated pine, like most of the neighboring houses, only in 10 months.
