Big Rock is 140 acre property two hours drive from Sydney. It was designed by Edward Szewczyk, a Polish-born Australian architect. The small, detailed steel house is a place where owners and their friends escape from the city. One of the features of the cool home is a swimming pool. It is located right next to the slightly hanging steel pavilion and presents itself as a solid sculptural object. The footbridge is on the dam below the pool and on the edge between the water and the forest: a steel structure that essentially consists of two horizontal levels, deck and roof. The footbridge is suspended over the water and the pavilion is suspended towards the trees. It’s the great place to appreciate nature.
