Sustainable House With Large Expanses Of Glass Flyway View House by Jon Anderson

The Flyway View House was designed by Jon Anderson Architecture and is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The concept of the design was to maximize the view of the birds’ habitat and to take advantage of the sun exposure and passive ventilation. Simple, sustainable materials and the well-thought-out use of glass connect the living spaces indoors and outdoors. Overhangs protect living areas from the summer heat, but use the sun for passive heat gain in winter. All outer walls are made of concrete blocks. The roof terrace is made of steel. The large glass surfaces consist of shop window components with a black anodized surface.
