Villa Nyberg is part of the first series of Swedish passive houses designed by Kjellgren Kaminsky. It is designed as an environmentally friendly house and is located in Borlänge, central Sweden. The idea of passive houses is based on the knowledge that people and household appliances generate a lot of energy. This is why passive houses are extremely well insulated buildings that are largely heated by the energy already in the building. Energy simulations show that Villa Nyberg will have an energy consumption for heating of only 25 kWh / m² year. Reduced heat loss is another important feature of the home. The round shape of the villa eliminates cold bridges and reduces the surrounding wall area of the house. It also affects the way you live in the house. During the day you move from room to room around the building and experience different views and daylight conditions.
