The house in the Pyrenees was designed by Eduardo Cadaval and Clara Solà-Morales in a small village in the Pyrenees, Canejan, Catalonia, Spain. The native dry stone house is a comfortable residence with two units on one envelope. It offers breathtaking views over the valley, while an identical window at the top of the roof allows a view of the top of the mountain. The design of the house not only respects the shell, but also the historical values of the local architecture. New technologies and old folk knowledge are implemented to make the house sustainable even in an extreme climate.
