This lovely home called Clingstone House is on a tiny island in Narragansett Bay. It’s called that because it hangs on a small island and was built by .S. Lover Wharton and artist William Trost Richards. The house is made from 100% natural wood, is 103 years old and now belongs to the architect Henry Wood and his family. There are 23 rooms in the house and 3 floors and the house has a wonderful view of the sea. Although the house looks antique, many modern technologies are used, such as solar panels and wind turbines to generate electricity, rainwater recycling and seawater filtration systems, and composting toilets. It is a wonderful home for a vacation or a weekend.
