The Viennese design collective modeled this alpine hut in Kitzbühel, Austria, most likely based on the example of the agricultural wooden barns in the surrounding mountain villages. The three-story house, named The Barn, consists of a base of bare concrete instead of brickwork and a wooden top with a slightly sloping roof that prevents large amounts of snow from building up. I like the contrast between a more barn-like exterior and modern airy interiors. The interiors are something between modern and mid-century, with brightly colored accents and accents; The wood used is light. A wood stove is located between the kitchen and dining room, while glass doors lead to a large balcony terrace.
