Casual style is very fashionable these days, and industrial style too, because it gives the opportunity to find romance in common and rough things. Designer Maxim Zhukov created a loft in these styles, a kind of casually thrown in style that just works. Industrial style is in every detail – in exposed cables and wires above a large extractor hood towering over a modern kitchen island, and the familiar black and yellow sign strips that are usually seen on construction sites. There is a kind of mezzanine floor that is used as a small study area. The bathroom is very dramatic: exposed brick walls, dark tiles and the only bright spot are white sanitary ware. The result is a masculine type of space with its own somewhat rough but dramatic romance.
