House Eadie is a Grade II listed Federation Workers House in Surry Hills, Sydney. It’s a 1970’s house renovated by the local company Tribe Studio. The client’s brief was to create a home that was both suitable for toddlers and also a great home for adults to entertain. The architects rearranged the rooms around the existing inner courtyard so that northern lights could penetrate the house. The original decorative brickwork on the front of the house has been partially exposed by removing layers of paint. The storage space is tucked away wherever possible to meet the needs of raising a toddler while creating space for adults to entertain. Thanks to a lot of natural wood in warm colors, the atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy.
