This unusual house is located in Novosibirsk, Russia and it is reminiscent of the saying “My home is my castle”, it is a kind of Siberian fort. The first floor is a spiral space with all functional areas: two cloakrooms, a guest room, a living room with fireplace zone and a dining room with kitchen. Most of the surfaces are covered with cork, which is unusual but looks stylish and is also environmentally friendly and warm. Most of the furniture comes from local producers and designers. The color scheme is neutral – beige and light brown colors add warmth. There is also a greenhouse that looks like a glass cone outside. I love the amazing staircase design that was also done by the local designers. The architecture of the house is unexpectedly futuristic, while the interior is very cozy and inviting. The combination of these two things is a success!
