It’s always interesting to see how architects manage to create a really minimalist and modern house that is still very comfortable and livable. The Germann House by marte.marte Architekten is one of these houses. It looks like a monolithic structure made of concrete, but it’s more than that. It features a cool terrace and expansive glazing that reveal the landscape and mountain panorama. Both, the terrace with a view of the pond and the small integrated stream, which blend in with their natural surroundings. The smooth exposed concrete surfaces find their counterpart in the interior in the tactile and optical softness of the white pine floors, built-in furniture and walls. Windows and doors are made of white aluminum and give the interior a touch of modernity and style.
