Blur is a study of architectural invisibility carried out on a minimalist sofa by a young and talented designer, Marc Thorpe. The sofa has an interesting geometric shape and padding that looks like it’s sprayed with almost fluorescent pink paint. The Blur achieves this invisibility tactic by using a new technique of fabric weaving. By weaving layers of material, the fabric is created at different intervals, creating a unique gradient pattern that suggests dissolving, fading, or becoming invisible.
