SHED architects turned a barn into an amazing modern home. The shape of the barn was retained but refined. Inside we can also see some details that are reminiscent of a barn, such as rough wood on the walls or natural wooden floors. Every room in the house is designed to have a minimal palette of materials and colors, with existing stable materials being largely reused. Some of these materials included reusing the original stable siding for interior siding, re-milling recovered floor joists for stair material, siding and countertops. These pieces are long lasting. The interior is very warm and cozy thanks to these solutions.
