Modern House Connected To Outdoors With Floor To Ceiling Glazing

The Vienna Way Residence is a family home designed by the architectural firm Marmol Radziner in Venice, California. The main feature of the design is a good connection of living spaces with the outdoors in order to be up to date with modernist design trends. Two main volumes, anchored close to the property lines, divide the property into thirds, which are bridged by a sunken kitchen in the middle. The pool in the middle of the inner courtyard visually connects the building forms. As the center of the residence, the kitchen connects the public and private wings of the house and offers expansive views of the pool, side and back courtyards. The house has an enormous amount of floor-to-ceiling glazing, all of which face the pool area. Privacy is achieved by trees and other plants surrounding the courtyard.
