This exotic looking kitchen is located in a Spanish colonial house in Los Feliz owned by designer Ramin Shamshiri. The design was inspired by trips to the Yucatan, the Netherlands and Granada. The designer has compiled various versatile references to create a feeling of timelessness. A field of antique white, rectangular floor tiles gives the dark and atmospheric color palette a feeling of brightness. The custom-made kitchen cabinets have doors and drawers set into the frame – a detail that can be seen in pre-war cabinets. The kitchen island has a butcher’s block made of dark walnut wood; The arched cut-out in the glazed upper cabinets refers to the Spanish colonial influences of the rest of the house. I love the unique decor, and if you are too – just steal this look!
